Overview

From Fairholmes we follow the east Track to Howden clough.( No alternative) We follow various paths to Howden edge. Steep ascent in places. We go to Margery hill. We then reverse and follow  Howden edge to the top of Abbey brook. We then aim to find Cartledge Brook and round to the path to Back Tor. Down to  lost lad then down to Jubilee Cottages and back to the  start.

The walking is rough in places with tussock grass. Also mud potential! Given the route the walk will not run in bad weather. Please leave phones on just in case I need to cancel.
