Time & place to meet and start the walk: 10.30 at Newhey Metrolink stop
Estimated finish time: no later than 14.30 back at Newhey Metrolink
Difficulty: easy
Distance – 5.5 miles
The walk will start at Newhey tram stop after the first tram after 10.30 arrives from Manchester Victoria. Please bear in mind that trams take about 40 minutes to travel from Victoria to Newhey.
Note: walkers are advised to check the TfGM website www.tfgm.com near the day of the walk in case any disruption of services is expected.
Tram ticket - if you do not have a GM concessionary travel card with the train/tram supplement you will need a return ticket to Newhey (zone 4).
Car Use / Parking - Available around Newhey Metrolink Stop
Walk Route - Newhey Metrolink stop, Railway Street, Haugh Fold, Bethany Lane, Ogden Road, Ogden Reservoir, Kitcliffe Reservoir, Piethorne Reservoir, Haugh, Newhey Metrolink stop.
Walking boots or shoes and clothes (waterproof jacket in wet weather conditions) are essential.
Please bring lunch and non alcoholic drinks.
