Meeting time & place: 09.45 at Manchester Piccadilly station to catch the 09.59 Crewe train for Stockport station. Then Stockport Bus Interchange for the 10.45 No. 358 bus from stand N for Hayfield.
In the event that trains to Stockport have not returned to normal running you could catch a 192 bus. These leave stand EP on Piccadilly (outside the Spar shop) every 10 minutes. The 09.51 is due at Stockport Grand Central at 10.22 and is recommended. The latest possible is the 10.04 due at Grand Central 10.37 though this doesn't allow much leeway for delays. The buses pass through Longsight, Levenshulme and Heaton Chapel.
Start time & place: 11.50 at Hayfield bus station.
Estimated finish time: 15.30 to catch the 15.45 358 to Stockport Interchange and then the 16.53 train from Stockport to Manchester Piccadilly.

Car Parking - Hayfield Pay and Display (next to the bus station) £7.00 per day.
Walk Route - Hayfield Bus Terminus, Little Hayfield, Hey Wood, Lane Head Farm, Hollingworth Head Farm, Tom Heys Farm, Shooting Cabin, Snake path to Hayfield.
Walking boots or shoes and clothes (waterproof jacket in wet weather conditions) are essential.
