Overview

Meet: Paddington station on Platform 1 by the war memorial (there are no ticket barriers on this platform). Toilets are on this platform. This walk takes us into Kensington Gardens then on to the celebrated London district of Notting Hill with its association to the 1999 movie & world-famous carnival.

We will explore the charming streets looking at places of interest & discovering its history. Included is a visit to the legendary Portobello Road market & where we will see places that feature in the movie.

The walk should finish by 15.00 at Ladbroke Grove tube station – it is only 3 stops back to Paddington.
