Starting at Nunnington Hall, this scenic and historic 7-mile circular walk begins with wide paths and a small river section leading to the picturesque village of Harome. Known for its iconic thatched cottages, Harome offers a peaceful and charming atmosphere.
Lunch will be by the duckpond in Harome, a tranquil spot to enjoy a packed lunch. Those who prefer can visit the pub opposite the pond for refreshments.
The walk continues along quiet country lanes, offering open views and scenic landscapes, before following the serene banks of the River Rye back towards Nunnington. A special historic detour to Nunnington Church adds an extra element of interest before completing the route.
🅿️ Free parking in the overflow car park at Nunnington Hall, or in the layby opposite the entrance. Please park cars tightly together!

🫖 At around 3pm, walkers on this walk can visit the historic tea room or tea garden at Nunnington Hall for tea, coffee, and cake. (We will not be charged for going in, but if you are a National Trust member please bring your membership card and scan it on entry). Please ensure you are in the tea rooms by 3pm.
🐶 Well-behaved dogs are welcome, and must be kept on a lead at all times, but are not allowed in Nunnington Hall
