This walk starts at RSPB Pulborough and heads towards Sidlesham Quay. From there, it continues through farmland, including Halsey's/Marsham/Chalder & Brimfast Farms. This part of the walk is so quiet and peaceful, with no road noise but plenty of birds singing. The walk then goes through Chichester Golf Course and on to the pretty hamlet of Fisher, before heading towards our lunch stop at the charming, small village of South Mundham. The return part of the walk heads south on a country lane/road, past Honer Farm, to the edge of Pagham Harbour for a short distance, then back inland via Halsey's Farm to Sidlesham Quay. The final section of the journey repeats for a short distance, then back to the RSPB carpark.
This walk offers lots of opportunity for birdwatching through open fields, with ample hedgerows. If it has been raining in the days leading up to the walk, there are a few, short lengths where it is likely to be muddy. One of the fields has a large herd of cows, which walkers need to be aware of. The walk is on flat land so will be taken at a leisurely pace. Bring something for a 'coffee stop' and a picnic for lunch.
During the walk, there are quite a few stiles, of various heights.
There are toilet facilities at the beginning/end of the walk. No dogs.
