A totally flat and diverse circular walk without any stiles.
Starting at the internationally recognised nature reserve we follow the salt marsh as the route heads to the sea. We pass the 13th Century chapel of St Wilfrid along the way. After reaching the seashore we walk towards Selsey following the sea wall. At Selsey life boat station we head inland walking through quiet residential roads to the high street. From there we head out of town and back into peaceful arable farmland before ending back at the nature reserve.
There is a 300 meter stretch of road walking immediately at the start and end of the walk. Care will need to be exercised when crossing to the paved side of the road opposite the reserve. I will ensure this happens.
The walk is packed with interest and it would be a shame to not stop and take it all in. So bring binoculars if you want as you might spot something as we head out of the reserve.
Bring something to eat and drink. At an appropriate time we'll have a quick 5 minute break, and then later on a 10 - 15 min lunch break.
Loos are available at the nature reserve
