A very easy, totally flat, track and riverside walk.
Half the walk is along a stretch of the Downs Link Path - much of which follows two dismantled railway lines and was created in 1984 with the aim of providing a 30 mile link between the North and South Downs for walkers, horse riders and cyclists.
The other half is along the bank of the River Adur which meanders through scenic meadows with the magnificent South Downs as a backdrop
There are four stiles and one slightly overgrown 300 metre stretch. I wore shorts for my recce and didn't have a problem.
The walk starts and finishes from a pub. Their loos will be open upon our return, but not departure.
Please bring a snack or picnic as we will have one 10 to 15 minute stop at the midway point.
When we finish, the Old Railway pub provides snacks and food. It also sells Ice Creams.... yummy.
