Tuesday 18th November – 10.30am – Petworth to Midhurst Linear walk, with bus back from Midhurst to Petworth *New walk*
Leader: Richard and Sue - This walk is in conjunction with Heart Smart
Duration: 3.5 hrs. Distance: Approx. 7.5 miles. – This is a moderately strenuous walk with some undulations. Our walks are geared for walkers who enjoy a brisk, comfortable pace. Sensible shoes are advised due to varying terrain. Dogs are welcome, but need to adhere to Heartsmart guidelines. Please note there could be livestock enroute.
We start of our walk going through Petworth cricket grounds and Petworth Park, where the deer roam freely. We then proceed to Upperton, through Vineyards, woodland and open fields, before we come to the Village of River. We then follow the Diamond Way footpath to Lodsworth. At Cowdrey, we go towards Benbow Pond, via Queen Elizabeth 1st Tree, then we cross Cowdrey golf course, to Easebourne. At the Cowdrey Estate, we pass the ruin, go over the river to Midhurst Bus Station, which marks the end of the walk.

By bus: No 1 from Midhurst leaves every hour on the half hour. The journey back to Petworth takes approximately 10 minutes.
