Overview

The student asked Professor Cunning, ‘There is a red telephone box in Middle Winterslow on the Clarendon Way that was allegedly an important landmark used by pilgrims in medieval days.  Can this possibly be true?’.  The Professor replied, ‘This is an anachronism, probably created by an unscrupulous Rambler!’.  The walk provides an opportunity to stroll along the Clarendon Way from Broughton to view the fabled telephone box.  We return via Howe Copse (possibly named after Eddie Howe, the Manager of Newcastle United???) with magnificent views of the Wallops and Danebury Hill.

No booking required but please make sure you have your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card with you.  Map OS Explorer 131.  Please bring refreshments and lunch for two breaks en route.
