Overview

We climb from the car park up to Pitstone Hill admiring great views all around and especially over the old chalk pit quarry lake, College Lake and Ivinghoe Beacon. If it's sunny there will be butterflies and as we continue through Aldbury Nowers nature reserve where we will stop to eat our 'bring your own picnic'. We will follow around the edge of woodland and the edge of Stocks golf course where we may see a few late pyramidal orchids. Then along the Icknield Way trail and through fields of barley and beans, (which may have been harvested) and may have sightings of deer.
