Overview

In 1665 London was visited by an outbreak of Bubonic Plague, which killed very many Londoners and the following year 1666, the greater part of London was destroyed by the Great Fire of London. In this London Interest Walk we shall trace the route of the Great Fire and visit some places associated with the Plague of 1665. Picnic or purchased lunch at St Paul’s. Finish with a tour of St Bartholomew the Great Church in Smithfield, 900 years old this year.
