This walk of some 5.5 miles connects the three small hamlets of Burton End, Fullers End, and Tye Green. We'll never venture far from Stansted Airport although we'll avoid the plane spotters' path. Trainspotters (I know who you are!) may get a close-up view of the Stansted Express, and a stretch of the walk offers a good view of the M11 for the Motorway Tourists among us. If none of these attractions should pique your interest, the walk also offers something for lovers of farm animals, the Olympics, luxury toiletries, (mock) ancient castles, and Hitchcock's Psycho. Finally, there will a cafe stop on the way!
At the end of the walk, Ramblers are invited to join me for lunch at The Ash pub at Burton End. If you intend to stay for lunch, please send your food pre-order to the walk leader by text, WhatsApp or e-mail no later than Sunday 29th March -- see web-link to menus below.
PLEASE NOTE: While the walk is overall "leisurely" with little mud and no stiles, there is a fairly short stretch with a few steep inclines which can be a bit slippery depending on weather. There is also a short stretch that is likely to be rather muddy.
