A linear walk (bus from Weymouth Railway station to start point, and bus from end point back to Weymouth railway station) on the rugged Isle of Portland, including Portland Bill and great coastal views. Some very uneven and stony paths, with a couple of fairly steep inclines. May be muddy in places.
Trekking poles may be useful.
Bring picnic lunch
Dogs kept on leads welcome, but some paths may not be suitable for paws.
Outward train to Weymouth:
Bristol Temple Meads ETD 08.03, ETA 10.31 (does not stop at Freshford or Avoncliff)
Return from Weymouth:
To Bristol Temple Meads 17.28 (stops at Avoncliff and Freshford)
Most railway stations along the line do not have toilets including Weymouth, so if needed, it is advisable to use the train toilets before alighting.

Whilst the walks are risk assessed, and may be changed at short notice if necessary, for your health and safety we recommend that you wear good walking boots/shoes, consider if you ned trekking poles, and bring sufficient food/drink for the walk.
