Approx. 9.7 miles easy – mainly dry underfoot but there are some short muddy stretches. Total ascent 1018ft

Prestbury Village to Prestbury Golf club crossing Summerhill Drive, skirt Kings School and cross the B5087 taking a left down Sandy Lane and on to Whirley Hall before we join some lovely footpaths through the woods. We cross Birtles Lane and take footpaths to Hocker Lane until we reach Slade Lane and then on to Finlow Hill. From there we head on towards Daniel Hill before dropping down to Mottram St Andrew where the fields maybe very muddy. From there we’ll head to Oak Road and Shaws Lane before crossing the A538 and on to Legh Hall and Spittle House, which the oldest surviving house in Prestbury and was once a hospital which specialised in care for leprosy, before returning to Prestbury. Please bring a drink and packed lunch.
