Overview

The walk starts through The Mosses to Congleton Lane then along a raised footpath. We cross the lane into fields towards Whisterfield. Pleasant views over the disused quarries, and out towards Jodrell Bank, often with blue damsel flies in attendance. Smiths Green, Dairy House Farm and back to Lapwing Lane. Mostly on good footpaths but also some quiet lanes, around Whisterfield. Most but not all the stiles have been replaced by gates. We will stop for coffee in the woods after Whisterfield - makeshift facilities only, however.
