Farnham & District Ramblers offers an all-year-round programme of walks in the beautiful Surrey Hills, North East Hampshire, and South Downs National Park.
This walk takes us from Putney to Kew, along the Thames Path. The first stop is a pub in Mortlake with lovely views along the river. At Kew (about 5 miles into the walk) some of you may wish to visit Kew Gardens (www.kew.org). The rest of the party will continue to Richmond which is 3 miles further along the route. This is a flat walk! The return journey is by train from Kew or Richmond at your leisure.
Bring lunch.
The start location is Farnham Railway station. Meet at 09.15am to catch the 9.28am train to Clapham Junction, then change trains to Putney. If you are travelling to Putney from elsewhere please arrange to be there by 10.45 am. The walk is due to end at approximately 14:30 in Richmond. If you choose the visit to Kew Gardens option, you can return home at your leisure from Kew. Please remember to purchase a return ticket to Putney. You will then be able to purchase your single return from either Kew Gardens to Putney or Richmond to Putney separately, dependent on where you will be starting your return journey from at the end of the walk. (This looks to be the most cost effective option).

The walk finishes in Kew or Richmond depending on your selected length of walk. You are responsible for getting yourself on a train home from either of these locations.
