Updated Wednesday 21 August 2024 (following the final recce).
Now a Moderate Level Walk. Start Point : Pont Llogel car park.
A circular walk accessing some of the Rainbow Trails in Dyfnant Forest, originally designed as horse and carriage trails but walkers and cyclists are encouraged to use these too. Some of the routes take in forest paths with some inclines but the vast majority of paths should hopefully be manageable. Some paths do include loose gravel and loose rocks which can be navigated around in most cases.
On the return to the starting point at Point Llogel car park there is an optional extension to the walk, following along the initial part of the Ann Griffiths walk. This provides a scenic route along the side of the River Vyrnwy to where the route meets the Glyndwr's Way. This is a beautiful place to stop before returning back to the car park. (Please note: Walkers may choose not to do this extension.)
Please bring lunch and snacks for the 2 stops we will take. Please also ensure you have sufficient drinks in case it is a hot day. Toilet breaks will be built into the walk.
