A scenic train journey, a 4 mile ramble and lunch at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution with time to look around.
We meet as a group at Winchester Railway Station. Please be in good time to purchase your ticket(s) in order that our group catch the 09.06 train (Winchester to Hamworthy – arriving 10.22). Our group will initially gather outside the ticket barriers on the south bound side (platform 2).

The scenic rail journey takes us from Winchester through Southampton, The New Forest, Christchurch, Bournemouth, Poole and onto Hamworthy.
The ramble will start from Hamworthy Railway Station to the Upton Country Park (stopping at the Tea Rooms - refreshment and facilities break) before continuing through the Country Park and along the Holes Bay Path to Poole and the RNLI Headquarters.
Our destination is the RNLI Headquarters where we have a table booked for lunch (13.30) in The RNLI ‘Riggers Restaurant’ (the restaurant also has great views across the harbour, especially from the bar upstairs)
Our return to Winchester will be on the 15.07 train from Poole Railway Station arriving at Winchester Station at 16.17.
