Overview

Starting from the car park at Marles Wood we cross the River Ribble at Ribchester Bridge to reach Stydd and the Roman remains in Ribchester. Climbing away from Ribchester we follow Duddel Wood before crossing the fields to Hurst Green. Finally we descend to Dinckley Bridge for the return along the riverside path to Marles Wood.

Park at the car park above Marles Wood. At Ribchester Bridge do not cross the bridge but follow the road ahead to pass Salesbury Hall. THe car park is on the left near to the top of the hill.
