We are the Chorley Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start on the dunes by Birkdale Sands, then a short stretch on the beach past the pools where there may be natterjack toads spawning .Exit to the road by Pontins Holiday Camp then follow the Trans Pennine Trail to the Sefton Coastal Path and return to the start through Royal Birkdale Golf Course
There may be refreshments available in Ainsdale and the toilets could have reopened.
The walk is almost flat , but because we will be walking through the dunes it's classed as moderate.
If you wish to travel by train alight at Hillside Station and walk along Waterloo Road, turn left into Selworthy Road.
Meet at the junction of Selworthy Road and Lancaster Road. Roadside parking .
