We walk from Ripon beside Ripon Canal and on to the attrative village of Bishop Monkton. We then head north towards Littlethorpe, partly on a minor road, before heading back to the canal which we cross. We then enter Ripon City Wetlands nature reserve before picking up the riverside path back to Ripon.

Catch the no 22 bus from Piccadilly, York stop PF at 08.40 or opposite York Railway station stop RH at 08.47 arriving at Ripon at 10.01.
Return buses from Ripon bus station at 15.14 and 16.14.
