Overview

From Long Compton the route climbs via field paths & tracks on to the ridge. It drops down the other side to the tiny hamlet of Little Rollright & climbs back up to the Rollright Stones, a group of Bronze age Stones which form the focal point of this 9.8 mile walk. The stones are famous as supposedly you cannot count them consistently, plus they were the location for the Dr Who Tom Baker adventure 'The Stones of Blood'. It then continues along the ridge to the village of Great Rollright, before descending for the final leg back to Long Compton.
