Overview

The route starts from Rowarth (free car park), goes over Lantern Pike and down to Birch Vale, follows the Sett Valley Trail to New Mills, goes along the spectacular Millennium Walkway in Torrs Gorge into Mousley Bottom, then leaves the Goyt Valley at Hague Bar and goes over the eastern edge of Mellor Moor back to Rowarth.

There is a nice pub near the finish point, called the Little Mill at Rowarth, which serves a pot of tea for two for a very reasonable £5. They also do food which looks quite good.
