Overview

A pleasant, easy, mostly level walk of around 6 miles on good paths with two stiles. Starting from the Longhorn pub, we make our way to the Arboretum, walking alongside Calderfields golf course, for our coffee stop at the Visitor Centre. We then walk through a residential area towards the impressive Victorian church of St Michael the Archangel (the site of previous churches dating back 800 years), with its unusual spire. Joining the Beacon Way, we walk through Park Lime Pits Nature Reserve, continuing along the Rushall Canal towpath to return to the Longhorn for refreshments.

PLEASE NOTE: there are parking regulations at the pub. You must enter your car registration in the pub before leaving the car park, even if you don't purchase anything.
