Overview

A circular walk which takes an anti-clockwise route from the village of Appleton le Moors to Ana Cross on Spaunton Moor where we will break for lunch.  After lunch we make our way back over the moor to the village of Lastingham with its beautiful  Saxon church of St, Cedds - there may be time for a short break for those who may wish to visit the church.

A short but steep climb through woodland takes us to the outskirts of Spaunton where, given time, we can take a short deter to enjoy the views from the little known Victoria Cross and take a brief stop for drinks.  Once back in the village of Spaunton we join a track for our return to Appleton le Moors.
