We are the White Cliffs Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Park on the far end of the roadside housing estate, Richborough Road, coming from the by-pass turn in near the Fire Station. This start is about 0.8 miles from Sandwich Railway Station.
This is a long flat leisurely walk. We will take the Stour Valley Walk across the marshes to East Stourmouth and on to Pluck’s Gutter where we will stop for 30 mins for lunch. The Dog and Duck will be busy on a Sunday, but a drink and comfort stop advised.
We will walk back along the Saxon Shore Way which follows the river Stour. We will pass Richborough Castle.
Please bring a picnic lunch.
