Walk starts in The Quay car park (pay and display), Sandwich. (Toilets available. Free parking is available a few minutes’ walk away in Sandown Road). The railway station is half a mile away and buses stop by The Guildhall.
This delightful walk follows the River Stour from the oldest Cinque Port until we reach farmland then Sandwich Bay. We will then walk along Princes Drive and further along the Saxon Shore Way until we reach Sandown Castle, Deal. We will return inland via the Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club, Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory (where toilets and refreshments are available and recent bird sightings), more farmland, then cross the railway track and back into Sandwich.
