Walk Description - up Beech Avenue - turn right, then left (signposted Nine Mile Burn)
At the bealach turn left.
Ascend West Kip - 551 metres -"airy" at the summit and requires care due to uneven ground
After descent - ascend East Kip (534 metres) this one is easier!
Path "roller-coasts” along the ridge to summit of Scald Law - which at 579 metres is the highest point of the Pentland Hills Range.
Down Old Kirk Road to The Howe - then through Green Cleugh to Bavelaw Castle and back down to car park.
The “Cicerone Guide to The Pentland Hills" suggests 4 hours - we took 5 and half hours (but weather this morning was none too good). We were back to the car by 3 pm
