We head north on the A34 then turn right to head along to the canal which we follow southwards past the lock. We re-join the A34 for a short while before turning right into The Spinney and from there into Lawton woods and the bluebells; so many bluebells. We come out of the woods at the top end and head towards Brick House before taking edge of field paths across to the Cheshire Ring Canal. We pass by the locks before taking a left turn to go past the church and back into the woods for another look at the bluebells before we emerge again on the A34 to wander back to the start - for food and drink in the Travellers Rest. See the route map for further details of the walk.
The walk starts at 10am but please try and arrive by 9.45 latest, as lunch menus will be on hand and for orders to be placed in advance of the walk. The Travellers Rest will open up at 9.45am should anyone require a comfort stop before we start.
Walkers from other groups are always welcome, as are non-members wanting to sample walking with our friendly group of ramblers. Just turn up and make yourself known to the walk leader.
Please make sure you have an ICE (in Case of Emergency) card on you when out walking – you know it makes sense - if you don’t have one then ask the walk leader for one before the walk starts.
On our walks, we regret no dogs please UNLESS the walk is described as DOG FRIENDLY.
