Meet at The Buffers pub on Rakehill Road, Scholes at 10.30 for a 6.5 mile easy walk.
** Landlady at the Buffers is happy for our group to park in their car park **
We will walk down Main street towards the East Leeds Orbital Road bridal pathway, passing Chippies pond and quarry. Heading south we then take a left off the bridal way towards Garforth golf course, which we will cross (duck when you hear 'fore'!). We head up to Barwick to look at the view from Hall Tower Hill and then rejoin Rakehill Road back to Scholes and The Buffers for refreshments for those who wish.
An easy walk. Fairly flat with a few very slight inclines. Ground is currently very hard. If we do get a significant rainfall before the walk it can be muddy so please be prepared with appropriate gear.
Parking in the Buffers pub.
If you have any queries about my walk PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL - just text or phone. If I don't pick up leave a message and I will get back to you.
Bus: No 11 from Leeds City bus station; hourly and does take a circuitous route. No 64 stops at the far end of the village adding a mile to your walk! Coastliner buses every 20 minutes stop on the A64 - less than half a mile from the Buffers.
