A brisk walk that (like most walks that start in Sevenoaks) starts through Knole Park and onto the Greensand Ridge - however this will follow one of the lesser used routes. The walk then continues along the Greensand Ridge (with some great views over the low weald) to Ightham Mote, then through orchards and woodland to Borough Green, and then back to Sevenoaks via rolling hills and plenty more woodland - including Oldbury Hill and Seal Chart, and then returning to Knole Park. An undulating walk with a total ascent of 750 metres.
A picnic lunch at around the halfway point, with a pub stop a few miles later. Though a fair amount of the walk will be in shaded woodland, make sure to bring plenty of water.
Plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from in Sevenoaks town centre at the end. There will be some pubs not showing the football for those wishing to avoid it, and for those that do wish to watch it, we should arrive back in Sevenoaks in time to see at least the second half of the 5pm kick off (though those pubs may of course be very busy).
