We are the Romsey Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Sherfield English we head north to Painshill Farm along tracks across open farmland and through quiet woodlands. We will take a slight detour to visit an area of bluebells before arriving at Painshill Farm. The route back to the start is largely across open farmland. The drinks stop will provide the opportunity to take photos of a topiary owl. There is just one stile on this but the adjacent field gate has not been locked in my experience so we can avoid the stile
Romsey Rapids rear car park adjacent to the Romsey Town Football Club pitch fence for those wanting a lift or wishing to car-share. Please contact the walk leader at least 24 hours in advance if a lift is required.
Lay-by on the A27 at Sherfield English about 600m past the Hatchet Inn, if travelling from Romsey.
