Overview

A moderate walk of around 7 miles, starting from Shustoke Reservoir and heading out towards Botts Green and then to Nether Whitacre with its notable church. The route has a mix of field paths and tracks as well as using lanes to reduce (where possible) muddy sections. There are five stiles.

Meet at Wyndley Swimming Pool car park 08:45 for car sharing; the walk will start from Shustoke Reservoir car park, Reservoir Drive, Shustoke- charge £1.50 cash only. There are numerous options to take from Sutton Coldfield including: from Dunton Island (roundabout for M42 junction 9) tske the exit for Kingsbury A4097, continue to the large roundabout, take the third exit onto Coton Road. This road passes through Whitacre Heath and meets Coleshill Road B4114. Turn left at this junction and the entrance to the Reservoir car park is on the left in approximately half a mile. If you have reached the Plough Inn, you have missed the turning.
