Snowshill
Date: Sunday 24th August
Time; 10am start
Distance; 11 miles
Description:
The walk goes out of Snowshill to join the Winchcombe Way, then joins the Cotswolds Way at Stumps Cross, with a steepish descent into Stanway, through parkland to Stanton and Buckland, and a steep climb back up to join the Cotswolds way, and then back to Snowshill.
Apart from the steepish descent towards Stanway and the steep climb from Buckland, the route is generally undulating. There is some walking on quiet lanes, and a few stiles in the latter part of the walk.
This is a slightly longer version of the very wet walk I led in March - so hopefully this time, there will be beautiful views across the hills!
Meeting point
Pipers Grove Car park. If you are coming from Broadway towards Snowshill village, the signpost for this is just after the turn off for Snowshill National Trust - you can easily miss the sign as tree branches are covering it. If you go into Snowshill village, you have passed the car park.
