Overview

Another stretch of the South Downs Way. We begin by ascending the hillside to the east of Southease and running along the row of tops crowned by Firle Beacon. We descend at the eastern end into the picturesque village of Alfriston, and then head south along the Cuckmere River. At Cuckmere Haven, there'll be a beach stop with a swim opportunity for any who fancy it. We finish with the coastal path westwards to Seaford.

Please bring a packed lunch. Pub stop at the end.
