A relatively short and moderate countryside walk in Hertfordshire. Starting in St Margarets station we will walk the Hertfordshire way and River Ash to Wareside for our lunch stop around 12 noon. There is a pub for drink but only 30 minutes for lunch so packed lunch will be easier. From Wareside we walk through countryside up through Timber Hall to Thundridge past ruin of St Mary and All Hallow's church. From Thundridge we walk back to Ware where the walk ends. The route passes through gentle rolling countryside along two rivers past a few churches and small villages. Should be delightfully green and pastoral at this time of year.
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, such as the weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
