Overview

A circular walk from Stanmer Park Gates, through Stanmer Park, walking north to the South Downs ridge. Then west to Ditchling Beacon for a picnic lunch stop, before descending through Stanmer Woods, returning to our start point. Tea/pee break at Stanmer Village.

Getting there:-

By bus: Catch the #25 bus from Old Steine (stop F) at 09:59 which arrives at Stanmer Park Gates at 10:17. 

By train: Falmer Station is 8 min (0.4 mile) walk away. 

By car: Paid parking available at meeting point (Lower Lodges West). 

Meeting point The walk will start by the cafe in the car park by the entrance gates just around the corner from the bus stop.

We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers.
