Stathern woods at Belvoir Castle

Meeting at the Castle car park by the Cafe (fee for parking). Up the quiet road to the bridleway and then towards the forest. Walk along the gentle undulating escarpment on forest paths, which are generally good for walking unless it has been very wet. Walk to the vantage point (Spanish Armada Beacon) and then onward to the end of the forest before turning and coming back to the Castle via the lower path coming out at the Engine Yard.
