Overview

The walk starts heading north alongside Halter Burn, around Yetholm Mains before heading uphill and reaching Elsdonburn Shank. We then head for Ring Chesters summit with views of the surrounding hills for a lunch stop. We head back downhill to join the route of St Cuthbert's and Pennine Ways back to the start point.

 

Moderate pace with some strenuous climbs.
