Having made some changes to the route, this walk is now longer (and more wonderful!) at 10.3 miles. We will not be climbing Higger Tor.  The advantage is that we now have a lunch stop with facilities at Longshaw Lodge - although it will be busy.

We will have some steep uphills and climbs both before and after lunch. Our walk will feature a wide variety of woodland, fern-filled paths, moors, riverside paths and boggy sections, but also some easy paths through the Longshaw estate.

We will climb over rocky outcrops towards Over Owler Tor - with some opportunities to do a bit of climbing if you wish!. Following this excitement we will take a varied grassy route into Hathersage.
