Train & Bus based walk

Leader: Mark F (Joining train at Stockport)

Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, at Macclesfield bus station in time for the 10:15 "58" bus, or at the walk start.

Transport to Walk Start: 09:25 train from Manchester Piccadilly, then the 10:15 No. 58 bus from Macclesfield bus station

Suggested Ticket: Peak Wayfarer £17.40

Walk Start: Cat & Fiddle public house at 10:40

Waypoints: Danebower Hollow, Danebower Quarries, Three Shires Head, Wildboarclough,  Shuttleingsloe, Macclesfield Forest, Tegs Nose, Macclesfield Canal

Return Services: Trains every 15 mins from Macclesfield to Stockport / Manchester

Extra: Please use the toilet on the train. There are toilets at Macclesfield Railway station, but not at walk start and at Teggs Nose visitor Centre. Optional drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs).:
