A scenic walk to two seldom visited hills north of Ben Vorlich and offering superb views of Loch Lomond.

From Ardlui Station we head west to the summit of Stob nan Coinnich Bhacain and then north east to Stob an Fhithich. We return south east to Ardlui.

This walk can be accessed via public transport although there is limited parking at Ardlui Station.

Meet at Helensburgh Upper Railway Station at 09:40 to catch the 09:50 train to Ardlui, arriving at 10:35. Return, after refreshments, on the 17.43 train from Ardlui, arriving in Helensburgh Upper at 18.29.

Local Grade: B+

Terrain: Rough, boggy grassland, with no paths for most of the walk. Walking poles strongly advised.
