We are the York Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a varied walk from Stockeld Park, where there are lots of Christmas trees , no huge climbs, some woodland, ponds and a river. We pass through the villages of Sicklinghall and Follifoot and follow the river Crimple to finish at Spofforth.

Catch the 8.42 train from York to Harrogate and buy a return ticket to Harrogate. From Harrogate bus station catch the 9.55 X70 bus to Stockeld Park gates where the walk will start at 10.15. For return journey there a 3 buses an hour from Spofforth to Harrogate and then trains half hourly to York at 05 and 35 past the hour.
