Overview

A good winter walk that isn't too challenging.  It starts from New Ridley Rd on a footpath rising sharply across fields to Hedley on the Hill, from where  the views across to the Tyne valley are terrific on a clear day.  We then descend to Westriding Woods on our way to Whittonstall before climbing back up to Hedley on the Hill on a different footpath and making our final descent to New Ridley.

The going may be a bit soggy in places!
