Stourport and Blackstone Nature Reserve

A figure of 8 walk with the option to walk 7.5 or 10.2 miles. We start with a steepish ascent via Ribbesford Church onto the Worcestershire Way before descending to the River Severn and walking along this to Stourport. The descent and other sections of the walk are muddy so you are advised to bring poles. The west side of the river is a bit overgrown in parts and there are a number of fallen trees to clamber over or go under! The second part of the walk takes us back on the other side of the river to the start. 

There is then the option of continuing onto the heathland of the nature reserve and walking around this passing under the Severn Valley railway to return to the start

Please bring a drink and snack for a late morning break plus a packed lunch which we will eat at the carpark picnic area.
