Overview

We will walk from the village to join the path that runs alongside Quy Water and Bottisham Lode giving us views across the local fens and later on into the gardens of Anglesey Abbey. Upon reaching Lode Mill we then walk to Anglesey Abbey and then onto our coffee stop at the Passage Hall on the recreation ground in Lode. We then walk through Lode to pick up the path to Quy Fen and back into Stow Cum Quy

This has the potential to be a muddy walk if the weather is wet  in the days just before the walk.  So there is an option for those who want to avoid the worst of the mud or just fancy a shorter walk of around 4 miles to take the tamac multi user off road path back to  Stow Cum Quy once we reach Anglesey Abbey.  Those with a National Trust Membership could even extend the short walk by including a visit to the Abbey grounds.
