Overview

This easy circular walk is about 4 miles (6.5km), almost flat but with four wide sturdy stiles to cross the railway near start of the walk. (Apologies for the stiles). It is a mix of tracks, field paths and short road sections. It is very muddy in a few places, so please bring poles if you have them.

The route is Hollin Lane - Beech Farm - across the railway (stiles) -  A555 underpass - Nixon’s Farm Shop at Outwood Farm - Yew Tree Farm - cross bridge over A555 - Styal Golf Course - Lode Hill Farm - Holly Farm - along Holly Lane and back to start.

We shall stop for our refreshment break undercover at Nixon’s Farm Shop where there are toilets and a cafe. Please bring a drink/snack, or support this local business.

Please bring ICE information.
