Overview

Circular walk from near Stanton, near Llanvihangel Crucorney up Sugar Loaf, via Forest Coal Pit.

Fairly strenuous walk with 2000ft of ascent but mainly steady, if continuous, climbs. Some shaded woodland but much of the walk is exposed to either sun or rain. Please bring plenty of water.

Great views from the top of Sugar Loaf and very varied and attractive terrain.
