From the car park we will be walking to Devil’s Pulpit for the view across to Tintern Abbey, then following Offa’s Dyke before going downhill to the River Wye and the old railway line to walk through Tidenham Tunnel. We will have our picnic lunch after walking through the tunnel, then return to the car park via parts of the Gloucestershire Way.
Walk will be on tracks, grassland and disused railway line. Please note the part through Tidenham Tunnel is approx. 1 km long (approx. 20 min walking) and has low-level lighting due to its resident bats (torches or flash photography not allowed).
